In the King Air (as in other turboprops), the proper standing take-off technique involves moving the power levers forward to the point
where the props are on the speed governors, so that when the brakes are released, you've got reasonably equal thrust from the
engines. Not doing this almost always leads to a waggling start to the take-off roll as you dance on the rudder pedals to compensate.
Whenever I do this, I get a penalty that says it's not a good idea to go to full power while on the brakes.
Is there a way to turn this off?
