Hello everyone of FSPassengers community, hopefully someone will guide me in the correct way to solve my problem.
Let me explain first: I have been making a custom sound pack with All Nippon Airways real flight attendants speaking in
japanese and english, it's
very complete, it includes welcome message, safety instructions, before take off, climbing (auto and manual seatbelt), all
passangers are aboard (to
the captain), fasten / unfasten seatbelt, climbing device, deboarding, boarding, descending (auto and manual seatbelt) new
soundtrack based in ANA
video clip, boarding sounds with japanese voices in the background (this boarding sound belongs to the general sound folder)
I also used different
safety instructions to match the 737,767, 777-300 and 747 and 777-200 (door over wing). So as you can see I have spent quite
some time adjusting
phrases and the first try was incredible, it felt like being in a real airplane because of the real voices). Here is a short
clip that I made some
time ago in FS9 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T8PyZrA6u-Q (skip till 1:20)
Till here everything was perfect, I did many flights in FS9 no crashes, no errors the problem came when... I installed and
ported it to FSX (copied my
cew pack folder to the corresponding folder in FSX)
I did a very short flight (maybe the first point that makes the error to appear?) between Hiroshima and Osaka, I did many
tests and I came with the
conclusion that the default sound packs work correctly, but when I select my soundpack it crashes always at the same point.
The CA says the welcome speech, then the safety instructions start (quite long explanation, just like the real one, it lasts
4:10 minutes) then I take
off and says the "level belt speech" right after 5 minutes aprox of reaching the cruise altitude (7.000ft as this is a very
short flight just for
testing) FSX crashes with no more details it just says Microsoft Flight Simulator X stopped working.
I then did the same flight with the default crew pack and no errors at all. Also I used other crew packs included in the
FSPassengers and everything
went perfect.
My guess is that there is something in my files that is not correct, I see that my crew pack folder is 51,7mb and the default
crew pack just 5,46mb, I
have followed the Tutorial here on the website about the fileformat etc, I also added to the folder only the modified files
so FSPassenger can look
for the originals on the default folder, I thought that could be the problem so then I also put all the other files in my
crew folder but still having
the error.
Also is important to remember that the "before landing" and other speechs like during climbing are more longer than the
default ones so I don't know
if the problem can be there (like if FSPassengers detects that there is not enough time to reproduce all the sounds before
landing).
I also use the file UIAutomationCore.dll in my FSX directory to avoid any CTD error but since I've installed FSX recently
with just a couple of
airplanes and Ultimate Traffic 2, I don't think there is any other addon causing this error, even confirming that
FSPassengers works correctly with
the default crew pack.
I've been thinking and I would really appreciate if I can be in contact with some developer or member of FSPassengers to send
my crew pack and then
check where may be the problem.
I look forward to solve this problem since I think this would be a great addition to FSPassengers for everyone.
Thank you very much!
Guillem
