Hello Dan and all,
Well, after much debate and frustration, (both with the program, different aircraft and flying,
I came to the decision that this is a program worth having and using, as it adds much to the
value of FS and it's entertainment.
I have a few issues with penalty points, (whew, some of them are harsh, to say the least) but so is
life in general, and in real aviation, if you make a tragic mistake, it can be much more costly than
just penalty points.
I'm not sure how Dan will address this, but there are some aircraft for FS that if you should change
views on the ground, they jump around a bit and that scares hell out of the passengers and cost you
points and promotions -- either it's quit flying those aircraft with FsP, or perhaps Dan, you can
address that at some time. Also, I had a perfect flight, very long haul the other day and opened
the main door after stoping at the gate and setting the parking brake, and I got gig'd for door open
during flight, very dangerous move . . . it wasn't me, a glitch in the program, and I'll get over it, but
it would be nice if it was eventually fixed,<G>.
All in all, this program has so much potential for further development -- Dan, you really have a winner
here and I'm sorry it took me so long to give you my hard earned dollars -- but I do feel, even with
what problems there are, it was worth every dime and I can't wait for your first patch of improvements --,
this program can only get better and more exciting.
I would personally like to thank all who have put up with my questions, thoughts, and sometimes
negitive input, but my main purpose was to see if a. I really wanted to spend the money, and b.
to make sure I would use the program enough to justify buying it. A big YES to both questions.
Having now bought the PMDG 747, (and yes, even a real world pilot with the tons of hours I have hasn't gotten
that old gal off the ground yet, <G> remember I'm an non FMC pilot of old), I can't wait for this program
to do its thing with the Queen.
Dan, thanks for all of your hard work and toil -- not being able to fly in the real world any longer
leaves me only with FS, and you have added a huge amount of joy to my flying pleasure.
Best to you and all who have helped develope this program.
