"Crew Prepare for takeoff" ??

Hello,

i've got a question. When I taxi to the RWY i never hear the sound " Crew Prepare for takeoff " .( I looked into my "Default folder" of FSPassengers
and there is the file "crew_preparetakeoff". But sadly he never says it. Is there a "special procedure" to hear that?

Well you have to turn ambience music on before taxi. When you're waiting for tower clearence at the holdpoint turn the music off and you'll
here "Flight Attendants,prepare for take-off". If it doesnt work turn off the ambience music on the runway.

Note: To turn on ambience music go to the fspassengers menu go to the flight menu with all the diffrent entertainment things such as
meals and movies then select ambience or whatever and select anyone 1-5. If anybodys here please correct any wrong things in this
post.

I think they should say it regardless of the Ambient music.

I'd simply like a hot key to trigger that statement. As mentioned, in the US I've never encountered any carrier (and I'm a frequent flyer) that uses
music during taxi. Thus, for us, this "feature" detracts from the realism.

I believe it'd be nice to have a hot key that could trigger that response. When I get cleared to the active I'll hit the key and tell the crew to
prepare. If I don't do that, I should be penalized. Nice chance for a new, relatively easy feature in my view. <grin>

The music is the hot key, so there you go.

And I flew on United two weeks ago and all 8 flights had music during taxi.

Lol I dont know what airliners you guys are on but American Airlines play music during taxi. I could sware Dan isnt stupid.

I've never heard the 'Crew prepare for takeoff announcement". I do get the phrase "The captain has advice that we are now clear for takeoff" instead.

At transavia.com I know that the captain doesn't give that command.
First there is the welcome speech.
Safety video.
Cabin check (make sure your seatback is upright..etc, etc) <-This can happen or immediately after the video or during taxi.
Lights off speech (For safety reasons cabin lights will be switched off,etc) <-this one is optional. Or they say it during cabin check or just
before take-off.
The purser gives the command: cabin crew, be seated for take-off.
And then the purser calls the cockpit to tell them cabin is ok for take-off and captain has to wait with take-off for 20 seconds so the purser
can fasten his/her seatbelt as well.

If it is a long taxi it is possible that this is all done and you still have to taxi 10 minutes till take-off. It can also happen you are already at the
runway.

Only commands the captain give are:
cabin crew, arm slide bars
prepare for landing
disarm slide bars
doors may be opened.
(Also others like during turbulence, take your seats, and emergency commands ofcourse).
