How are landings monitored? Bug?

Okay, I'd been happy that the program had been taking note of my very nice landings, until tonight. I landed at OAK and didn't notice that one of my
engines had gotten out of sync and stopped responding to my throttle movements. The result was that I landed, nearly sideways on the runway, bounced
three times, ran off the left side of it, then back onto it, then back off the left side, then past the runway and finished just short of the water
before having to turn around and head back to the runway end and off to taxi to the gates.

I got in and got a Perfect score with the note about a bonus for a nice landing. If that's was a nice landing, what's a bad one? < grin >

Is this a bug?

I think it registers the first touch down speed.... if you touched down at -200 f/pm fsp will plug in, nice landing, I dont think it considers what
happens after, i.e the bouncing, or moving side to side... however, you should have recieved a penalty for over running the rwy, the only thing I can
think of is you were under 30 kts when you overran the rwy so fsp didn't consider it.

Yeesh! I KNOW I would have gotten the classic, "I hope we didn't bend the struts!"

I was likely just about 30 kts when I passed the end of it. What a mess. Damned E key did it to me again.

Well, you can ask if there are any wing-walkers onboard.

If it's still running, grab the other throttle(s) and match up the thrust on your instruments, balancing with rudder until you're even. If the
engine dies completely and won't restart, it's all rudder. If the non-responsive engine is at high thrust, better shut it down. Either way, not
a pleasant situation to have.

I've been told to just hit "E 1 2 3 4"

You use each of the above numbers for every engine your plane has. In my case it would be "E 1 2" for the two engines.

It happens to me a bit because of Squawkbox. I'll be thinking I'm typing into it and I'm not. I hit "E" and FS thinks I'm breaking the link. Ooops. I
might change the "E" key while I'm at it.

happened to me loads flying online typing and hitting the E

E 1 2 etc would not put them back into sync

Simple change the key assignment of the E key
