im SO TIRED OF FS PASSENGER DAN your program can not work with anti aliasing and anisotrop settings i have
tried lots of nvidia
drivers and no problem without fs passenger but lot of problems with fs passenger. i have regreat that i bougt it
can i have my money
back

Works fine too here on nvidia 6600gt, AA on 4x (2x is trouble). Where does it go wrong teemuss?

Hi Teemus,

I have the same problem but it's not FsP that's the culprit, it's FS2004 and the NVidia driver . Whenever I set AA on the card, I get a major
drop in FPS (8-10). However, if I set the AA on in Fs2004, I don't have any problem. I use a Realtek 6600 (not the GT but TD I think)... and that's with FsPassenger on or off.

Teemus and Ryan, are you guys using the latest drivers I think they are the 81.98's. These are by far the best I've used for my 6800GT
card since I got the card.

Teemus, are you having these problems with the 8xS AA mode? I get a strange effect with 8xS AA where half the screen is black but above where my
FsPassengers status box would be its fine and I can see the top of the cockpit. This is with a GeForce 7800GT and the 81.95 drivers btw.

Works fine for me with 4xAA and 8x anisotropic filtering. GeForce 6600GT. I use to have ATI 9800 Pro and even then didn't have any probs.
Try turning off AA in FS9 options--->display settings--->hardware and use only the AA settings in the Nvidia control panel. It's known that
FS9 AA is not good. I'm surprised that Phil has better results by enabling it. But If you still have probs, you might wanna try the opposite
(turn off in Nvidia and on in FS9).

i use 81.98 and also have a geforce 7800 gt but i tried 81.95 81.85 77.72 77.77. and same problem but only if i use the menu in fs
passenger just testet it you know when i want to turn on the music,i have to use my keyboard or else i gonna have problems with the
overhead panel and the other panels.and its only when i use the passenger program very strange i think,
by the way i use
8x anti-aliasing
16x anisotropic.

it gives me more fps and a more nice fs 2004.
if anybody have a souloution please let me know

So I take it you have already tried what I said in the post just above yours?

One thing I noticed is that if FsP mini-window is exactly at the top left corner, when I press the ALT button to access FS9 menu, the mini-
window disappears (as normal) but FS9 menu fails to show up and sometimes the instrument panel gets messed up. If I lower the mini-
window just enough so that it's now not overlapping FS9 menu when the ALT is pressed, then everything works fine. I don't know if this is
going to work for you but I thought I'd mention it anyway for others and for Dan to maybe take a look at.
Can't thing of anything else right now...sorry.

EDIT: Actually there is one more thing. When your problem happens try hitting ALT+TAB to temporary switch to the desktop. Then hit ALT+TAB again to return to FS9. This will refresh the FS9 screen and windows should go back to normal.

Funnily enough I have this problem with anti-aliasing when FSP is running with a complex add-on like L-D 767.

notice this problem happen only because of the mini display,
simply buggy driver don't hand properly window overlapping.

if you aren't able to clear it with another driver simply disable the mini display
and all will be fine. (real pilot don't have the mood of the pax on a display anyway)

You can also using key enable/disable it only when you need some info.
