First flight with Block time... disappointed

I just completed my first flight (KSEA-KOAK) with the new block time feature. I set everything correctly, however the block time ran VERY
slow. I landed about 10 minutes ahead of schedule, yet according to the block time display I was 20 minutes early (so there's a 10
minute discrepancy). Does anyone else have this problem? What could it be caused by?

Unfortunately I didn't keep my old copy of FSP on my PC (the one where GMT was entered). I never had any problem with GMT, and wish I
could go back to the old version

Other than that, everything looked good.

Did you have three hot meals? Just kidding LOL.. I am with you on this one, I even told Dan not to modify it but just re-implement it exactly as is
as an option. Don't worry about trying to fix the FS bug. Most of us who love it so much, never had a problem and are willing to deal with it anyway...
I can say that I think the block time has been accurate for me though. I have done a few long hauls with it and I am pretty sure it was always
accurate. I am doing another long haul tomorrow so I will keep my eyes out and let you know if it is off.

Sorry Dan, but I'm afraid I miss the GMT time as well!

I know it's a hassle to program both GMT AND block times, but, being a 1-2 hour flight pilot, I simply never have had any issue with the "evil
FS9 time zone bug".

Even with all of my long hauls 12-14 hours I don't think I ever saw it, maybe once in 190 hours...

I wish Dan would simply re-release this SAME EXACT UPDATE with GMT time instead of block time. That way, those that want Block time
could download the "BLOCK TIME VERSION", and those of us that want GMT time could download the "GMT TIME VERSION".

I agree... it was just fine the way it is. If he implements it the new way he discussed, I would think I'd have the same issue with these
damn slowdowns. I never had a problem with slowdowns in the old GMT model! Bring back the old GMT time please! Don't make a
new one that is independent of system/FS9 time... I'd have the same damn issues with slowdown!

I still have an old copy of FsP if you want. I keep themin case I need to rivert to an earlier version if there is anything wrong with the

Silo, that'd be great. Do you have a link you can PM me for the version that came out JUST prior to the version implementing the block
time? I'm not sure what date/file it is, but if you have it available, it'd be much appreciated!

I flew from RJAA-KMSP with the "Block Time" feature. It was a 10 1/2 hour flight and I was 2 mins early.

I then flew from KMSP-KLSE with the same "Block Time" feature. It was a 40 min flight and I was within a minute or two.

Reports reflected the same so, as far as I can tell, it works perfect.

Glad it works for you guys. Maybe it's just something with my PC.

EDIT: Dan, it would be nice to see the GMT feature brought back as it was in the past (should be a simpler
transition), as I recommended above. No need to work out a complicated new GMT feature. I'm afraid it would still
be slow. See my original post for more details.

It would be nice if you could chosse the best option for you, in FsP options menu...If you prefer block time, choose the block time option...if you
prefer GMT, choose the GMT option...
