What is FSP Seat Belts local variable ?

I have dowloaded the demo version of FSP and think I will buy it!! so great !!

But before getting it definitively, I would like not to use the Seat Belts button provided by FSP and use one of mine.
The FSP button is provided in a .GAU file, so, impossble to change the picture of this not so nice dark and ugly squared button.. too bad
for a so nice sofware!

I use panels with personnal customized XML gauges and different looks of the button depending on the panel I use, and would like to
know what is the local variable that FSP uses, to include /change this variable in my already existing Seat Belt switch and keep my
original look!
I personnally use the local variable (L:Seat Belts, bool) but my actual switch does not change ON or OFF when FSP does it for itself.

If you want to use your own, why not simply use that one, then press CTRL-SHIFT-B in order to turn on the FSP seat belt. I use the PMDG
737, and that's how I do it. No problems thusfar!

Yes it is what I do now!! I can't do something else !

But it is very unrealistic to click on a button on the panel to get the correct display of the Seat Belts sign on my EICAS and then to press on
a key combination ... to do exactly the same, but only for FSP !!

It is also much unreal when you put FSP in automatic mode for the seat belts mode... and your own is always on or off even if the one of
FSP has changed.. not so nice isn't it ??!

It is exactly as if we had one flaps lever for the plane, and one other for FSP to run correctly..

No, it's not unrealistic! Consider it like this: When you press your seatbelt button, you are switching the signs on/off. When you press
CTRL-SHIFT-B, you are making the announcement that usually occurs everytime the seatbelt sign is turned on or off (at least that's a
requirement with my airline). It's not very unrealistic at all. If you want to only press one button, download the one in the "more
downloads" section. Even though it's ugly, it will work for your "one button" wish. Pressing three buttons plus using the mouse to flip a
switch isn't much work at all.

Yes!! good idea! but I am noy sure that it can be possible..

In FS, can an XML gauge emulate a keyboard code and send it to a module? The only thing I know is local variables that can be
processed by FS, but I never saw "hardware" emulation..

About this FSP seatbelt button, I also saw yesterday that it has to be modified because if I put the automatic mode for seatbelt in FSP,
when the mini panel says that seatbelt sign is ON, the button stays in OFF position. It seems that the button works only in the way Button -
> FSP to transmit its state, but not in the way FSP to button..

For Swafo, I don't agree with you... you saw it !!
I fly most of time Airbus aircrafts and all the A3xx panels have already a seat belts switch on the overhead panel, with a specifc design, a
sound click when used, etc... and with a text that appears on the EICAS, telling if the seatbelts sign is on or off.. that's the real world

With the FSP addon button, no text and no change of the seat belts state of the plane.. so, it is not realistic!!
