GA plane crash in my area

N2938R, a piper Cheroke
lost its engine over my home town, and glided into a back yard in hilliard just south of my town.

i think he was trying to make the runway at hilliard airpark (01J) but ended up in a clearing about 1mile from the Airport.

this happened hours ago, i was at work. the airplane split inhalf just behind the passenger cabin. thats what the local news said
the plane is almost intact, 1 wing is in a tree somewhere, but the passenger cabin looks normal. the pilot really did a good job. everyone
has escaped with minor injurys, apperently there where 4 souls onboard

there is an airport in my home town. not shure why he did not go there. maby altitude or position.
