Here's a few pics I took a couple of days ago while spotting at McCarran. There was tons of 737's and baby-busses, as is usual with Southwest and US
Airways/America West being the most frequent of visitors. These were taken from two different spots, the spotting turn-out on Sunset Blvd and a
shopping center parking lot on Paradise Rd east of 25L/R. At the second spot the planes go right over your head on approach, feels like you could
reach out and touch them.
My first up-close viewing of the 757 with winglets. I like!

A graceful tri-holer. I love the DC-10.

A Gulfstream V on approach to 25L.

A Southwest 737 getting ready to touchdown. Check out the flaps.

US Airways lands on the left as a Cactus departs on the right. Southwest in the middle waiting to cross the right for the gates.

One of two 737-200's I got to see that day. This one is an EG&G (Janet) 737, bringing back some people from various worksights on the Nellis Range
Complex, ie Tonopah, Area 51, etc.
![[Image: IMG_1187.jpg]](http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g302/vegasflyboy2004/IMG_1187.jpg)
I only saw one CRJ this day.

A pretty lady accelerating for take-off on 25R, heading for a more tropical climate.

The zoom on my camera works pretty good. This was taken from clear across the airport. Westjet 737.
![[Image: IMG_1425.jpg]](http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g302/vegasflyboy2004/IMG_1425.jpg)
A rather unexpected visitor. I had to run from my car and stick the cam through the fence. I'm lucky it turned out.
![[Image: IMG_1382.jpg]](http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g302/vegasflyboy2004/IMG_1382.jpg)
A Canadian visitor, eh?
![[Image: IMG_1335.jpg]](http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g302/vegasflyboy2004/IMG_1335.jpg)
Sorry for the blur on this one. I happened to see the t-birds practicing for this weekend's air show at Nellis. This was taken from probably 7 or 8
miles away.

Lastly, and my favorite one, a Northwest 757 departing with the Mandalay Bay and Luxor in the background.
