This was announced today on the IVAO network:

Dear fellow Captains!

We are proud to announce you a very new kind of Event: Mission|Is|Possible.
Mission|Is|Possible is not just any Event but an Event with a Mission where you can gather points.
On a regular basis, Mission|Is|Possible will release new Missions in a mixture of VFR and IFR.

I have no idea, how pilots on this forum fly. A number on line on IVAO and Vatsim of course, but how many off-line.
What are the skills of these pilots. E.g. they don't fill in a flight plan like on IVAO and therefore cannot answer all the questions of a
mission.
If that is a problem I will adjust that. So, let me know if people are interested.

Great idea! I'll certainly try myself in a day or two when I get some more time.
Who knows, maybe some of the missions in the future can be located on Canary islands, now that we have this great photorealistic CanarySim's freeware project "Canarias 2006" released?

Apart from FSP World Tour - I'm an offline flyer. No reason for it other than being reluctant to start making beginners' mistakes...
So - who knows?

Attention: the Scenery complexity must be at least on Normal!
(Options > Settings > Display > Scenery complexity)

That was fun! And having on mind the flight was over the default, otherwise completely uninteresting terrain, these missions really have
potential. I hope to see some over some photorealistic terrain...like above mentioned Canary , or Georender series, or Himalaya...
And I must say it really surprizes me I don't see more reactions to this on the forum.

Since there were only two of us competing and I'm the last, a little story comes to my mind:

An American and a Russian were racing and American won. Of course, it was all over the American newspapers: "we have victoriously
won the first place, while the Russians came in last".
In the Russian newspapers you could read: "we have won excellent second place, while the Americans were one before the last".


So.... it's not all that bad!

Glad to hear you liked it Hrvoje. I certainly will keep in mind your suggestion for next Missions.

If someone have a problem to accomplish a Mission, e.g. you don't know how to intercept a radial in Mission 2, you can always get
assistance!

Dear Fellow Captains!

To enhance the accessibility Mission|Is|Possible has decided to make some modifications.
Every pilot can compete, with or without FSPassengers. This because of the 50.000 IVAO pilots
Only the simple fact that the mission(s) have been brought to a good end counts. No further theoretical questions. So just the fun of
accomplishing the mission!

The following missions are available now:

Mission 1: Easter Island: How many moai are standing upright on the beach.
Mission 2: Red Adair: What is the status of the oil tank (give color).
What is the DME distance of the tank to VOR POT.
How many containers are loaded per minute into the truck?

After accomplishing the mission, you will be awarded with a listing on the score page. Pilots with FSPassengers and a Flight Results
with minimal “Average”, will be awarded with a honourable mention FSP. Pilots with the most completed Missions will top the list.
