Flight MD80 Tutorials...

I have given F1Md80 a second chance, since it looks really amazing. After many failed attempts I gave up, ...all I could hear was beep-beeps, and
warning lights everywhere, but now, I will work hard on it, and would like to know if any of you knows a good written tutorial for it...Anyone?

The Flight1 Super 80 is really a fantastic aircraft model and besides the Flight1 ATR the most carefully modelled one I know.
As I don't know of any tutorial at the moment, here's some quick steps to get started without getting the "Bitchin Betty" shouting at you:

First load up your passengers and fuel, either with the integrated loader or with FsP loader and my payload model from the
more downloads area. Both will give you the Zero Fuel Weight and the Center of Gravity. Write those down or just memorize.

Then proceed to the following steps



Step 1
Go to the throttle console and dial in the CoG value with the dial on the lower left side (1)

Step 2
Dial in the flaps setting (11 or 15) you want to use for take-off with the dial right beside the first (2)
Both of these dials move the green marker on the left side of the trim wheel

Step 3
Set your trim with the trim slider (3) so that the white marker sits beneath the green marker
(you can use keyboard trim keys or whatever joystick wheels you have assigned to trim setting)

Step 4
After engines are running, set your flaps to the setting you chose in step 2 (4)

These steps should be enough to take off without any warning sounds. To get the proper VRef speeds you should finally

Step 5
set your ZFW using the turning knob on the fuel and weights display (5), which then gives you the gross weight.

Step 6
Click in the center of the airspeed indicator (6) to display the take-off speeds card, adjust the gross weight on the bottom of the card
(if your actual GW lies between two values, chose the higher value) and select the chosen flaps setting. This will set the speed bugs
on the ASI.


I hope I did not make this too complicated. The 80 is not an easy bird but once you get used to her she's just wonderful
