Same here, I'm going to hope that FSX can handle a dual core AMD.

Specs for new machine.
AMD Athlon X2 4400+
2GB High Preformance RAM
2 160GB HDD's in RAID 0 Array.
NVIDIA 7800GTX.
DVD-RW drive.

All on a yet unknown MB, I have to figure out what would be a good board for this beast.

How come on all the pics are in external view? I want to see the cockpit. Does anyone have a link to FSX screanshots in cockpit view?

I have seen inside the FSX heli it looks the same but it was in VC

Looks really great, i took notice of the cities with houses and roads laid out as they should. Also one shot with the 747 in it, the sky looks great.

Nice! That's the 747-400, right? Or is it the -800? I can't tell from the shot.

I don't like it that they're not improving ATC, flight dynamics, cockpits,etc. They're only focusing on the graphics. Sure it's nice to have good
looking cities and nice looking forests and mountaints, but I really think that they should focus on the aircraft. It doesn't look like the
planes are improving at all. I rememeber when I upgaded from FS2002 to 2004, there was only an improvement in the graphics. But then
again, if they made the aircraft perfect, there'd be no market for payware aircraft, thus they would make less money.

I agree the airplane, ATC, Flight Dynamics etc. should come first. I do know they are improving multiplayer, but they didn't say much else in that
video I once saw. I'm really looking forward for a better interview or an article on "this is what we are improving" stuff. Maybe an interview by a
real Flight Simulator entusiast.

Scenery is really nice when doing bush flying, but in a 747, at a cruising altitude of FL350, I don't think the scenery is that important.

I just went to bed before I had a chance on reading that. Yes it was about 0530 in the morning (I really have some sleeping problems )
