Requesting Recommendations on Weather AddOn

Hi Folks,

are there dedicated weather addons available (free or reasonably priced pay) that add to the realism and that YOU can recommend? Fs2K4 is no doubt
better than any predecessor in weather FX, but still somewhat limited. So I am looking for some good weather visuals with some kind of automatic
weather generator.

I have browsed through the online manual, and this seems to be what I am looking for, though a bit on the expensive side.

Maybe you can get somebody's else opinion on this forum. I know there are many using the same software.
It looks like it gives you AI traffic and textures (for the scenery) as well, besides live weather.

I've been wondering what the AI traffic bit does too. but yes I too have ASV and love it, best WX program to date as far as my
experience goes. got to admit though that apart from inbuilt FS9 WX I've only used the various ActiveSky programs.

ASV does NOT give you ANY extra AI Traffic.

What you've been reading about it is a new feature, that with the push of a button you can reset the EXISTING AI traffic in FS so they take note of
any new weather conditions you might have set (e.g. important at the airport to change the takeoff runway after the wind has been changed).

And yes, frame rates could be affected, especially if you choose the 512x512 resolution cloud textures.

Yeah, I've personally tried both ASV and another program called Weather Maker Pro 3. For my money ASV is the clear winner in the
weather category.....can't go wrong with Hifi.

I also own ASV And I like it alot, I had ActiveSky WxRE it was ok but AVS blows it out of the water

That's funny...I have a new button in FS menu, "Tools" and when I access it I can choose the amount of traffic I want. I though it was
added by ASV. Another thing I'm puzzled with is that I can't get rid of static aircrafts, no matter what settings I choose in the FS menu....

You have a button added to control the amount of AI traffic? Isn't that a default feature in FS9? I can control my amount of Traffic. I believe
it's under the Settings-Display-Traffic menu, or something like that.

right, but I have a "tools" item in the menu that comes up when you press the "Alt" button on the keyboard. So I click on "tools" and "Traffic"
(or some like that) and it displays a window that looks totally different from the one that you mentioned. Wonder where that comes
from?!? I thought it was ASV...
