I wonder just how much of an impact MS Flight Simulator makes in the hardware industry? I mean, just listen to us, drooling over each
new version and plotting how and when to upgrade our systems just get closer to the ultimate FS experience! I'm unaware of any other
title that has consistently pushed the performance envelope of the highest rated system when it debuted.

The thing that stuns me even more is that more tech sites don't use FS as a benchmark tool in their tests. I think I found only one site
that used FS9 as testing software.

I hear you 5X5 Airliner. I did upgrade my PC, mainly for FSX I admit, though my 3 year-old system was looking a tad long in the tooth. I
still haver her upstairs, now used for ripping old LP's and 45's and as a backup.
