Please Answer Fsx Urgent Question

Ok I just bought and installed FSX today and it came out to be better than I expected on this computer. But the Jetways dont show. I tried
to see if there were at JFK there werent EWR either. Also the vehicles dont come to me either does anyone know whats up? Can
you also go in tower mode without being online? Please the first 2 questions are really urgent and I need your help!

Erm... hate to say it, but I think you will have to crank the traffic lever in the settings area all the way up. Sorry; it will kill your FPS.

How would I go and raise these things?

Under Settings, and then Custom.

Let's back up a sec here....

Jetways will work with:

1. Advanced Animations turned ON
2. Scenery details set to (I think) normal.
3. And this is the BIG one...a video card that SUPPORTS SHADER 2.0.

If you are unsure if your video cards supports SHADER 2.0, go to the manufacturer's website and look at your card's specs. I can tell you
that ATI X800 will support it and possibly some cards just a tad earlier. NVIDIA cards, other than the newest and top-of-the-line probably
will not (a friend of mine has a fairly new NVIDIA that does not support it).

Recommendation: From my own experience and from an ACES developer that I met at Airventure...get an ATI card.

Vehicles will come when:

1. A fuel truck is called on request (I think it's SHIFT + F)
2. Baggage cars show up when you open the baggage doors.

And with respect to #2, I can't get the @$@!@#! things open no matter what I do. Several people have asked how do you open other
doors besides the main exit in several other forums only to get the "Standard 14 y/o mentality answer" of "SEARCH THE FORUM!!!" Well,
after numerous searchs and obvious regurgitation of the same answer given by ONE individual who answered, "SHIFT + E + 2," I have
determined that if this does indeed work, it sure as hell doesn't for me....I have tried punching it very fast as one user suggested, I have
tried hitting all 3 keys at once, and I have tried holding SHIFT + E and pushing 2 which nicely opens the main doors and brings up the
panel part specified as #2 in the config file.

SO, if anyone has an INTELLIGENT answer or solution to the baggage exit problem, please do share. I have been searching for an add-
on gauge for multiple doors to this point without success.

To open baggage doors try also:

SHIFT + W
SHIFT + H

Edit:
...or whatever is assigned for "wing fold" and "arrest hook" on your system...

Did that, opens the main door and the 2 is ignored...but I will play with it more to see if I can't determine the correct "speed" of input.

Cool, elaborate please...shift E opens only the main doors here.

SHIFT + H

Thanks for the tip and it works slick with Project Opensky, etc, but not with default aircraft or aircraft that have doors defined as doors.

It seems that nobody is real helpful anywhere else when it comes to the exact proceedure to make that work. Kudos to this

There is an option where you can open all the other doors using shift+e 3.

Using shift+e 2 will make the right door open

Not necessarily. It depends on which exit the number is mapped to. In each aircraft folder, you can open the aircraft.cfg file and scroll
down to the Exits section. There, you'll see how many exits there are and what each one is. Aircraft with only one exit won't get any
baggage carts.

determine the correct "speed" of input

Yeah, with pushback too! Sometimes you get the 90 degree swing; sometimes you don't. I wish they made it a control that YOU control
while pushing. Meaning, activate pushback is one function. Then, while in pushback, "mode" you use the arrow keys to control the
direction of the tug. That way, you could have very realist motion as some aircraft aren't pushed straight back. I watched some at KLGA
before, that required a tail swing to the left but they were swung right. Then, once they were far enough out, swung back around left.
Finally, they pulled FORWARD a bit. I guess they didn't want the jet blast taking out the food court!

So, who wants to make THIS addon?
