FS Passenger crash registered

Hey all.

Could any shed any light on this issue i have, i was flying and on approach i lowered Gear and co pilot said we seem to have a problem with
the gear as its down but not locked.

i landed and laid the belly on the runway with success and i stopped on the runway however FSX decided to then shot me 50ft in the air to
then crash me back down therefore registering a crash on fs passengers.

any ideas on if this problem was to happen again how i can keep the aircraft stable on the floor without jumping about.

i notice FSX does the same when you hit water with crash detection turned off inside fsx.

I have only had this problem once before during taxi, it was caused when I switched views. I use only default scenery. Unfortunately it can happen but is usually rare. Were you in an area of default scenery or add-on? To my knowledge the best method to prevent this is to not switch views while on the ground. I have not yet found a correlation to the crash detection being on or off but have not tested it either. Now regarding crash detection being specifically off, I let my daughter play FSX and I turn off crash detection for her, and the simulator makes the aircraft bounce off the ground on purpose. So I would see the FSPX crash detection being a result of that, so in the simulator menu you will have to have crash detection on.

Also, if you had FSX crash detection off at the time of the belly landing, I would bet money that is what happened as well.

right okies it was LFPG (Paris) with payware scenery, so i have to have both crash detection's on both fsp and fsx? not one off and one on?

just i always thought you couldn't perform such a landing with fsx crash detection on as it would just register a crash??

EDIT: Just opened FSX and my crash detection was on and the slider up to realistic...

FSPX automatically resets FSX's crash detection to be on. Even if you turn it off again, as soon as you start an FSPX flight it will reset to being on.

whiskey, I didn't know that... good info. ProAv, it's likely something with the Payware, and could very well be that it's not being at the same
elevation as the default scenery.
