Problem with Ketchikan Intl airport

After landing at Ketchican Intl I got a penalty for not landing at the correct destination. After reading the FAQ I tried looking up the nearest
airport in the GPS and it says PAKT as it should. When I entered PAKT in set destination in FSpassenger it did recognise it as Ketchikan
Intl airport (but the alternative code KTN wasn't recognised). In the FSPassenger report it said,
I didn't land at the intended destination PAKT.
Since the GPS says PAKT is the closest airport and that Ketchikan was identified when I set the destination it does not make sense for
me having this penalty and it seems not to be any of the reasons described in the FAQ

Not unless it is saved in a file somewhere. But I do remember one additional detail about the flightreport. In the beginning it said that the
flight was from CZMT and to PAKX. Maybe a hint?

To see your flight report, view it in FSP, then go into your FSP folder and click 'last viewed report'. Then just copy and paste it here


Perhaps their is a scenery for Ketchikan with the ICAO: PAKX, I saw a flight report in the FSPVA where a person took off from Ketchikan PAKX.

Have you installed scenery for that airport? What does FS9 say it is, PAKX or PAKT ?

I think FS9 says it is PAKT. I have the addon Misty Fjords installed in which Ketchikan is situated. I also have UT Canada. My flight report

Now looking on fs9, there is no default pakx,

Looking at the addon you say you have, it says that pakx is a sea landing base.

However, you say you checked the gps and it said pakt was the closest airport, so I'm not sure why you got the penalty either.

Did you check the gps at the same point where you ended FsP? As different gates at the airport could be closer to the pakx.

I dont have this addon, so cant test it out.

Yes I checked the GPS at the same point were I ended FsP and set the parking brake. There is indeed a seabase close to PAKT (just
adjacent to it).

No I don't understand why I should have this penalty. According to the GPS PAKT is the closest airport and second is PAKX not the other
way around.
