New Boo Boo with FsPax....

hey all, as you know, im a long time user / lover of Dan's, i mean FsPax but i have a new bewildering problem, when i start FS
everything is normal as in i can move/ change the size of things on screen i.e. GPS, ATIS window etc etc, but when i start FsPax if i want
to move stuff, the screen spilts into 3 and the frames drop to about 0.5 i tried re-installing but 2 no aveil, any thoughts?

That's a good one - sounds like "something" got in there and is screwing around with it.

I don't know the easy way to fixing it but if it doesn't work you can always reinstall everything(including FS). That should fix the problem.

i was afraid of that ivo, i dont really wanna do that, i have a lotta addons i cba reinstalling, like my AI takes my about 3days to put all that
in, then there is my scenery

I hate reinstalling everything too. I had to a couple of times and its a pain in the ass.

If you have the space for it, here's what I do to avoid having to manually reinstall every little thing:

I have a backup HDD setup for nothing but FS files. Whenever I get something new - scenery, aircraft, textures, etc., I see which files and
folders are going to be affected. Then I install it. If I like it and it works, I copy the files that were added to the official FS9 directories into a
mirror image of it on my backup drive. Of course, if I'm dealing with payware stuff like FSP, PMDG, etc., I just run the install but for simple
freeware downloads, this works great.

If I have to reinstall everything, once all the basic stuff is in, put in the 9.1 patch, then just copy the backup drive files over (copy/paste and
wait about 20 minutes), and finally the payware stuff. At most, a full wipe and reinstall of all FS stuff takes me about, eh, an hour. My
dedicated, official FS9 partition is currently at just over 10GB with a max of 50, to give an idea on size. Yeah, it's a pain but sure beats
unzipping everything one by one.

hmmm good idea but i dont know whats causing the problem, well, it only occurs when i launch FsPax but this is the first time this has
happened with FsPax

try closing the minireport and see if it still happens

Have you updated any graphic drivers lately?

will do drew, as for the drivers, not yet Nvidia have just released a new set of drivers but i havent put them in yet, im gonna drop the quality
from 32 bit to 16 bit and see if that works

ok, it was the mini display, anyone know how 2 fix?

if its the minidisplay, it will be down to needing different drivers for it to display correctly.

I can only use the drivers i have installed now, if i try any different ones, i get problems with black screens etc.

So, its time to uninstall drivers, install different ones, try fs9 again.
repeat until it works unfortunatly
