question regarding savegame

let me start by saying this is the best addon i've seen for years.

i have a couple of questions;
- Does FSP incorporate a savegame feature or is this possible in future versions? not as a cheat but to make those long flight possible
for simpilots like myself who have a wife and some kids that need looking after
i realise though that its not realistic and that real world pilots can't finish the flight the other day but then again: how many real world pilots
take their family into the cockpit.

- the other day i had a message from my copilot saying that we had a hard landing in a DC-3 but it didn't show up in the end result (i
kinda bounced back in the air and made a second landing attempt). Is this a bug? does FsP only record the last touchdown?

- why do you get a penalty if you arrive at a certain airport early? i mean passengers are happy, company is happy.

Concerning the first issue: what about time compression? You get penalized for that, but you can turn off this panelty in the more_options.cfg.

About the last issue: if PAX arrive 30 minutes or more early they are not necessarily happy. Most of them have planned connecting trips for that
flight (by train, bus, getting picked up by someone, whatever) and don't think that having to wait before they can continue their travels is all that
great...

Well I'd have to say its problematic whether passengers would be upset about arriving early; I know I wouldn't. Being late is of course universally
not enjoyable.

I would definitely like a save game in midflight capability. I'm also married and have family responsibilities; this would make the game much more
practical. Yeah, I'm sure people would cheat, but that would be up to them to decide if they want to do that. I feel "cheating" in computer games
should be a matter of choice on the part of the buyer, not something to be prevented at all cost by an overzealous developer.

The philosophic question to know if saving in flight is right or wrong is far beyond me.

On my mind I don't catch the difference in "moral" matter if i save a flight or if i leave my computer on in pause mode for the while I have to go at
something else (like for example earning my life).
But my purse see the difference in matter of electric power wasted
When I am called and must leave for several days, I simply cancel

So I will take as nice enhancement a savegame features. For those who don't like it, I have a fantastic idea : Don't use it for example,
some of
my beloved planes have autoland, I hate the autoland because it stole almost all self satisfaction, so I don't use it and believe me IT WORKS !!!
things go exactly as if it was not here.

In other hand I understand that building this feature can be too long and difficult to be built in this program. just see in FS2004 standard, the AI
traffic is not saved, just an example.

So don't take the savegame feature as a requirement but as a simple humble wish

I would love to have a savegame feature and use it only when necessary. At least I'd have the option! See my previous post:

I think the problem with a savegame feature is that even the savegame feature of FS2004 itself isn't too reliable. At the moment there seems no way to
create a savegame that covers the complete state of a plane and restores the FS to that state when reloaded. Though he definitely has great qualitites
in the programming department I doubt that Dan can pull off where MS failed miserably so far.

Guess you're all stuck with time compression.

The code is into FsP, it worked for me on default aircraft but failed miserabily with the beta tester
so I had to disable it.

Fs seem very sensible for flight restore of complex aircraft, also at restore time you may have a "jump"
that is not annoying with Fs but that can give you G penalty and other side effect.

So Immo a restore game that would not be 100% reliable is a "no no" for me, as if you thrust
a chute that would open only 50% of time.

When the first update will be out I may have a look again on this but as said I'll never allow such
stuff if it don't work 100%

Right, I forgot: the save feature of FS works with the default FS aircrafts quite ok, too. It's "just" more complex addon aircraft where the craft's
state isn't saved 100%...
