Good morning/evening guys!!
I was reading today airliners magazine and one of the articules pointed something that curiously brought me up fspassengers.
It said that a company must be careful of what planes they use for their routes so they don't waste that much fuel, etc(or something like
that) they were talking about spanish charters they went on bankarupty on the 80s.
Well, I was thinking the following for fspassangers. When you are going to load the aircraft the passengers are waiting already in the
gates. Normally the bigger aircraft you use the more passangers are waiting there.
For example:
If you fly with a a319 and you've got 80 per cent reputation; you flew already 20 times on this airport and your price tickets are good you'd
get around 100 pax waiting at the gate.
But...
If you instead of choosing a a319 you go for a a321 you will get aroung the 140 pax which is 40 more.
But you are going to do exactly the same flight, same route, etc.
That in real life does not happened, does it?
In fsp You don't have a obstacule at the time of choosing aircraft for your route since you are always gonna get more pax, the bigger it is
the more passangers you get.
Don't you think that it would be better something like this.
You plan the flight, you say it would be a 3 hours flight so your flight is gonna be a short-medium range flight so you are gonna get more
pax than in a 45 minutes flight.
In this case, at the gate would be waiting more or less people, it depends on the longitude of the flight nor on the size of the aircraft.
I don't know, this is just an idea.
Putting in on this way then you must start thinking what plane you are going to use. Is a B737-500 more economic than a B737-400 for
this route? etc.
Sorry if this post is been found somewhere else but as i don't know how to call it I didn't find it!!
Regards
