On the aircraft maintanace screen there is Visited price. What does that mean?

I believe it comes up when you have scheduled maintenance that needs to be performed.

Also, and I may be wrong here (usually am
 ) but I think it has something to do with where the plane is,ie. if you last flew that plane from ksfo - ksan and are now flying a different plane say from kjfk - kbos, which means you are at kjfk and not ksan where the plane is that needs maint. So maybe its to do with the cost to get maint crew there from where you are at now. I don't know if you understood all that, but that is my interpretation of it,like I said, I could be wrong Phil Post Edited ( 08-19-05 10:46 )

Still confused. Maintanance Price = £140,000, Visited Price = £12,000.

The visit price is SCHEDULED ROUTINE MAINTENANCE (as far as I understand it). It's not the maintenance required by damage to the
aircraft. Here in the airline industry, aircraft under go different types of routine checks (always occur, whether or not they're necessarily needed). These are known as "A", "B", "C", and "D" checks. They aren't for supplemental damage caused by airframe stress, bad piloting, etc. Does this clear it up? It's the best way I know to explain it. |
