Hi,
Is there a possibility to play other music than the default ambient music for the passengers?

Look for the crewpack folder, replace the ambientmusicX.wav file with a wave file of your choice. I'm not sure if there's a different way, but
that worked for me. I thought I could create an ambientmusic5.wav, but it never played. So I'm guessing you're limited to 0 through 4. I hope this helps..

Perhaps another suggestion...
Dan... Possibility of perhaps doing something in the line of mp3s / playlists ? Would be a good change from the default loop over and over ![]()

AFAIK those files are WAV instead of MP3 for good reason - MP3 means a much higher CPU load while playing than WAV. Using MP3 would trigger lots of
"FSP slows down FS when taxiing!!!11!" postings. ![]() You can always convert your MP3s to WAV and merge them into one file, if you have the disk space. ![]()

Just out of curiosity . . . if I put a wave file of someone like Disturbed or Korn, would the passengers have a problem with that? Does the software
distinguish between different styles of music? Joseph Post Edited ( 07-30-05 20:04 )

Hi!
I'm just curious in how to change the soundfile from .Mp3 to a WAVE file. When I tried to save the file with the following name: "ambientmusic0.wav" I got a message that told me that the file didn't was a WAVE file. What to do? Thanks! //Rasmus

of couse u can,
1 - use a media program that doesnt really take up memory(u need as much free memory as possible when using FSp) to play the music u want(make a playlist) then run FS 2 - i have nvr tried this, but i hear that the ambience files are wav files so u cud try to combine all the songs u wanna hear, and then convert them to wav files and put them in place of one of the ambience files |
