Well well

I also had several crashes. And my slotution was, just delete the aerocore.dll ( wenn installed ofcourse).

This dll was the devil in my flightsim and fsp

Maybe I found also a possible solution: I had CTDs over and over at the same Airport (EBLG) after landing while leaving the runway and turning into
the taxiway . ZoneAlarm alerted me that "dxdiag" wanted to establish an internet connection...After deleting aerocore.dll and applying scanfd (thanks
to Steve and Pagir), I disabled the hardware acceleration of sound in DirectX (using dxdiag)...and voila: no CTDs anymore. I always play the music
after touchdown to please the passengers in FSP ...maybe there's a problem with onboard soundchips running certain games. Disabling the hardware
acc. of sound is the only solution in such a case...same story with "Silent Hunter 3" on my pc. That's why hardcore gamers don't like onboard
soundchips....well, just an idea. Hope it helps.

Hi Guys,

In my verifying in what add-ons can cause problems interacting with FSP i found one that seems to be a killer. USA road 1-2-3, It sends FS9 in an
endless loop at times when used alone but will freeze FS9 whenever FSP is used with it. I had this happeneing to me twice now, once on my first
"CTD gallore" installation of FS9 and, today, trying to reinstall it again in my new CTD free, new FS9 installation, a 30 or so flights, CTD free
veteran.

Thought I let you know .

PS: If anyone has found otherwise let me know please.

Hi Dan!

I also experience unfortunately a lot CTDs with Fsp. They occure almost all in the final approach phase and it doesn't matter what aircraft I fly. As
they are: Milton Shupes Dash 7-100, Aerodesigns A318, PMDG B737-800 and others.

That really only means FSP was running if my memory serves me correctly, and apart from FS9.1 was the main dll in use at that time. I've
long had crashes on approach since way before FSP even came out. Usually after flights of over 2.5 hours. I have a feeling it's something
to do with a memory issue and scenery, since a lot of CTD's are scenery related.

Since I bought FSP I've had 2 CTDs, Both have occured when making the final approach after a flight of 2.5 hours or more. Before I
bought FSP I have had no problems so I'm going to uninstall FSP and see what happends. I will keep you posted

Same here. I had CTDs sometimes on approach, sometimes after ground handoff after landing.
It look for me like a sound card issue. I have nVidia nforce chip onboard. Reducing hardware acceleration one notch in dxdiag really helped so far:
3 of 3 no CDT.

Will report more.

Hello!

Here a little hint for those who still have the problem with "Unable to find Addon Scenery directory in Scenery.cfg..."
which shall be fixed in version 1.10 but actually is not :-(

A little research with Filemon.exe and some hex editors gave me the solution. ScanAfcad is looking for the entry

[Area.xxx]
Title=addon scenery

but unfortunately this is only given in the english version of FS9. In the german version this entry is named

[Area.xxx]
Title=add-on-szenerien

With this one you get the error above... Simply rename add-on-szenerien to Addon Scenery, run ScanAfcad,
do your changes accordingly and than rename it back to add-on-szenerien. That's it!

HI you all ,

it seems to be a great program , but for some reason I can't get it to run on my PC ... as soon I end the flight with the end flight button button after landing my PC
crashes ... not only tp desktop ... it reboots completly .... so I tried a clean install on a brand new Windows , MS flight sim , and then Fs passengers on top ,
the graphic driver is updated ... nope i can't end the flight ... aswell whe i let the plane just crash ... it seems that it would do domething in the background ..and that makes it crash .
I would love to see the programm run before I actually purchase a 40 $
programm ... I don't want to waste money again like with some Lago products that don't run then in the end .....

Anybody an idea ?

Hi Chris, you say the pc reboots, do you mean the pc shuts down "nicely" first or does it just turn off in a second like pulling out the plug?

Hi Dutch 64 it just shuts down and reboots ... so get black screen and it reloads windows , just as if you turn on your computer ... there is
nothing with nicely shutting down .. it all happens in a blink of a second ..... that`s why I tried a fresh install of all to see ... I have seen the
Programm run with one of my collegues ... and it looked really great and so far what I can tell it works fine , just not with me ....


I guess I am just a computer nerd ... I should stick with my real life aviation ... at least I know what I am doing there ... and I won´t crash my
planes ....

Ok, if it goes from running state to black screen instantly then most likely it's not software but your powersupply. Is it powerful enough? Even if it
is, it still might be faulty causing this behaviour
