Firstly, apologies if this has already been covered.

I'm new to this program, having been recommended it from another user from my website. We are an up and coming multiplayer group
that are still in construction. We have an idea to create our own VA with our own fleet of aircraft.

What I would like to be able to do, is to create a company, and then add pilots for all the users with have with registered copies. This
user then logs into their account and flies a set flight. Once this flight is completed, the PIREP is then stored back onto our database.

I've downloaded the script with PHP files for our site and understand the the PIREP's can be filed, but what I'm not sure of is the way that I
would like the company to work. How would I go about creating a company and share it with the users so that they can log into their own
accounts using my company name and keep myself as company owner?

Hi Stuarta,

At this time, there is no way to have multiple users share the databases simultaneously. You are limited to one user flying at the time. Then, that
user zips the databse folder and posts it on your site for another to download. This process is obviously not the most convenient and you don't even
want to think about it if you have more then 2-3 pilots flying.

I've already posted a request in the development forum to enable a live-sharing of the database.

Okay thankyou for the reply, hopefully this is something that might get sorted then.

In the meantime, I've gone ahead and installed but have a slight problem. I have the connected message and tables all installed, but
when I click on 'Add New User', the load progress bar flashes up and the page just appears to refresh.

Anybody got any ideas please?

I see the problem....

I think this is because your apache server (on your site) use the
"register_globals" setting to OFF instead of ON this forbid
URL value.

Solution: replace the user_admin.php by the one I sent you by mail

Yes correct, sorry. My first idea was to be able to share the database but when I started I saw that this could
take me alf a years more to be stable and userproof, nothing worse than loosing 700 flight because
there is a bug.

I might if at anytime in my life I have by any chance some spare time write a "standalone" version of FsP
with only the export feature dedicated to VA with a low price (you would have only flight report
and export feature) but I don't know if this would intterest many peoples.
Also who will be in charge of buying aircraft etc etc.. a lot of problem would be to solve and as
many people want different feature this would terminate in a big fat program. (ie: another years to dev)

But on your side a LOT can be done once you get the data with the PHP script, you can ignore
the company name, and make all the statistics as if all player were in the same company.
You can forbid to import flight wich have not a specific aircraft and state what are the allowed aircraft
in a public webpage etc etc...

Also making the financial aspect is not that hard , I'm ready to give some formulae for anyone that would ask.

Dan why dont you hire a team, all the sudden that half a year could turn into a few months. Im sure there are people out there who are
willing to help and are good programmers at low cost. Its like an investment
