carenado cessna 208 caravan

Hello all. 

For a few days now I've had a issue with the Cessna 208 caravan from carenado for fs2004. I've noticed when I'm taxing the plane bounces and I mean bounces, I bought this addon from simmarket not the the makers them selves. I've searched Google for answers and read something about a patch now i cant find this patch on the software's webpage, I understand its a few years old, but maybe the update is already included in the software but after reading more into this annoying issue maybe its not. 

If anyone could help me with this maybe this is a long shot to ask on here not sure if its worth it but I'm giving it a try i have this on windows xp 32bit fs2004, if anybody does have the same version as me maybe on the same operating system would it be possible to send a copy of the aircraft.cfg if I'm allowed to ask this.  

Thankyou very much if anybody could help I do like this plane i dont whant to think that i can't use it, I do use this for fspassengers.

Usually the bounching is due to the ground's texture complexity and elevation combined with the CPU speed. Using it on an old 32bit XP I guess you should reduce the scenery detail to avoid this.

Well I started a flight from the Isle of Man heading to Jersey. Again it started when I landed, taxied off the runway, and while I was on the taxiway it bounced and jump uncontrolled this then resulted in a crash and a dead pilot. That got me frustrated ive had to delete my pilot and my company. 

So the answer of which you have given are you sure this will be a permanent fix, like I said apparently there is a patch for this problem and people have mentioned the aircrafts.cfg.

I'm on a Windows 10 64 bit using FSX-SE so I don't know how FS2004 works on the old XP 32bit. The only way is to try. However here http://airdailyx.blogspot.com/2012/08/ca...r-own.html are mentioned 2 service packs, the second exactly for the bounching issue. The link to the service packs don't work, but maybe you could ask the carenado support if they are still available

I have done what you said and tested it but nothing unfortunately. As you mentioned carenado i did email them yesterday evening hoping that maybe they will be able to send me patches, but I'm not holding my breath on that one, Im still thinking of the contact points on the aircrafts.cfg, but i dont really whant to be messing around with the data.

Ive received a reply email from carendo about my issue with the bouncing problem. They said the product is discontinued and they do not have a patch for this. I did try a suggestion from a forum user and that didn't work but I tried it. So ive hit a brickwall with this. Id thought id update the folks who helped me with this.

It mainly specifies this:

Usually, we send the installer files to resellers after releasing them on our site first. This is in order to ensure that we fix any potential issues that there might be with the aircraft in the form of a service pack. In most cases, the resellers have installers that include service packs 1 and/or 2 already in them. If there was a need to release a new service pack AFTER the resellers start distributing them, we send the resellers the updated installer, so you can always re-download the installer from the reseller and it will include all necessary service packs and updates. 

So if you bought it many time ago, maybe you could try to download it again and reinstall it, supposing that it's the last release including the long awaited patches you are looking for

It's just my last two cents, after which I don't know how else to help you

Thanks for the reply. Had a email response back fromt the devs apparently they said its 16years old. 

I purchased it off simarket on the 20th March 2020, I seen someone on YouTube use it and thought id whant that, ive also got the version from just flight, the justflight version is not like the carenado. 

But I will re download and install and see what happens then. But thankyou for all your help you have done what you can I appreciate it.
