I received an e-mail from Dan!!

He wrote that he is facing some personal issues, he hopes to be back in bussines with FSPassengers in about 2 months.
In my reply to him I wrote on behalf of all the forum members that I wish him all the best on solving his personal issues first. I also asked if he can leave a message himself on the forum on how he is doing. If I hear anything else from Dan trough e-mail than I will let you know.

Or here is a thought, You could go away and then the rest of us won't have to put up with your childish attitude and your snarky comments. I can guarantee you that you wont be missed. I know your mom and dad always told you that you were important but in the real world you aren't. Maybe you could go start playing something that is more age appropriate for you like The Sims. When Dan releases this if he does ( I kind of hope he doesn't just as an in your face to the A-holes that frequent here ) then there will be plenty of people ready to buy it. He will even pick up more new customers then the ones who left. The world will continue to revolve even without you.

There's nothing in "our" face here... we're the customer, we're the ones who pay, and if Dan is disrespecting us, the only one whose getting it in the face, it's him... because there's much more competition out there that respect their customers.... I subscribed to simbuddy, and when REX Simair comes out, I'm buying that as well... that's lost customers to FSP

Well, i have too gave up on FSP but....to be honest, before REX Simair comes out, there will be already P3D v5, maybe higher haha....and Dan will have FSP already upgraded to that version. I really dont believe that simair is happening in next 5 years

Lot of people here talk about SimBuddy. 
Let me tell you what it is: a good flight logger. 
But when it come to actual flying....
FSP checks and calculate points:
If you do stupid things (gforces and much more) 
If you do VERY stupid things (leave doors open, forget about basics procedures, ...)
If you dont use proper lights switches
If you dont make proper use of spoilers, flaps and more
If you fly under 10000 too fast
If you land with proper sinkrate
If you manage good an eventual failure
If you manage good crew and pax needs
If you manage good your airline (prices and much more) 
And some other things i do not remember now

Simbuddy check:
If you overspeed below 10k
If you hard land

Thats All.

Well, since P3D 4.4 is available, I decided to finally install it. Haven't had P3D on my system since V 4.2. I like it still I could go back to earlier versions and still use FsP, but I spend the majority of FsP use on FSX. I know some of you don't have earlier versions of P3D (compatible with FsP), but it behooves you to know that any time P3D comes out with a new update, keep your earlier versions SAVED in a safe location...just in case. I learned this a long time ago. Maybe others will do the same. That way you can still enjoy FsP and not be stuck in limbo waiting on the updated version of FsP.

I too looked at SimBuddy as a potential alternative. I started an airline with the free version, before realizing I'd be forced to have a paid subscription to do anything worthwhile. Honestly, paying a subscription for SimBuddy seems a bit egregious, when FSPassengers would just cost a one time $30 or so for so much more.

I'd probably rather pay for SimBuddy if it was a one time purchase of $180 bucks. But I'm philosophically against paying a subscription for a flight sim add on.

I tried AirHauler, but it's not what I'm looking for. Unfortunately, it seems like it'll just be a slow race between FSPassengers and REX's Simair. I suppose whichever one comes out first will be the one I use.

After trying SimBuddy i agree with some of the comments on it, that being said I'll be only using it until FSPv4 is complete, as FSP is vastly superior.

Seriously folks, I received a reply from Dan this morning. Although I won't divulge any specifics, I can say things have been quite serious with him, but it's beginning to look upward. Currently he is working through the blocked code issues and will try to have the P3D update completed by next month.
