Ranks and Promotion

Hi again,

I wanted to ask how your personal pilot performance affects which aircraft you fly , if at all ...
I saw in the screenshots that you can be promoted / demoted according to how well you fly ...
Will your rank affect the aircraft types you fly or only money will set the planes you can fly ?
Also will there be Captain / Co-pilot ranks in therms of from where you fly a specific aircraft?

For yet there is no limits and even a "1st officer class 1" can pilot a 747...
This said this part was roughly done and I know it need somes rework.

I don't want to close any option of flight so I think more to do an optional
setting when you create a company. If you fly this company and have set
"pilot rank limit aircraft type" setting then you'll have to gain grade to fly
bigger aircraft. In this case you'll to start with small aircraft first
(not GA but small commercial first as King air as you are already a
first officier when you start)

About rank they are based on hours with a log curve (higher rank more difficult to gain)
and points... each 2000 points you gain one rank and of course each -2000 points
make you loose one rank.

Would this fit your need ?

Oh, that's OK that this system is not fully implemented ... it can always be included later on .. for now even if there is no real ranking
system that limts aircraft I will get this program the second it's available , there is already so much in it !!!

The current system is satisfactory.

Doing a "limit" system would take me *only* two days I think...
It's on my "todo if have time" list

(at least on my "todo for next version" list)

I plan to continue develloping on FSP after the final version
based on feedback and request, I already planned somes empty slot
in the database so I would be able to release new version with new features without
the need to restart with a new database (ie: you would lose all your flight record if not)

Code for unlocking demo would work of course on newer version.

Hi guys!
I just wonder if there will be some airlines with fixed routes to start with and according to your rank/aircraft, you'll be able to fly other routes
if you get (buy) other acfts...(so more money and more experience to earn)...? Because, realisticaly, you have to obtain routes from local civil
aviation, according to the fleet you have and slots/gates available....
It's another suggestion to give a new motivation...
