I hope the first pass was just for bragging rights... but then if it was... why was the gear down?

To fly low speed and low altitude your gear must be down to prevent swarning and stuff.
This airplane will be used for KLM cityhopper, so I won't be flying on it. Right now KLM Cityhopper only has Fokker 50, -70 and, -100. It will replace one of them. And ofcourse this as just a flyby ;-) Anastasios.

If flaps are set beyond a certain point of angle /degrees you will have a gear warning or low altitude warning.
It is normal for a flybly to have your gear lowered. Anastasios. |
