Walking out to preflight the 1900 today it was crisp and chilly; -9 degrees C.
So I decide to ask the Co "What are some of the considerations for preflighting during cold weather?" I am expecting the Co to talk about
such things as PRIST, defrosting / deicing the airplane, paying extra attention to the boots, preheating the airplane, ect.
Nope, I get "Don't stick your tongue on the lips [engine inlets]."
I stop in my tracks, look at the guy then can't help but crack a smile thinking about the Co with his tongue stuck to the engine inlet of a
1900.
Name of Co withheld to protect the identity of yet another Smart [insert explicative] King Air pilot.
