requirements for PMDG

Brad, Have you tried the FeelThere 737? Last time I checked you said you hadn't got it, So why don't you think it's 'as good'? (Aside the bugs, As I
said in another topic the 737NG was not perfect on release and still has some system inaccuracies!)

it has become VERY Well-known and popular, Other add-ons such as the Dreamfleet 727 and LDS 767, while popular too, Arn't as well recognised.

For the same $39.95 you will buy the 600/700 for you can get the LDS 767 http://www.leveldsim.com which is Much better than the 737NG, in every
aspect. Even after you pay the extra $25 for the 800/900 expansion you still miss out on some systems which LDS (Being a newer) product fills the gap
with!

Of coarse if you love the 737NG you may enjoy it much more regardless of features..

OK, so I'll bite...

I'm going to be buying something in the next month or so. I had been thinking of the PMDG 737 NG. What exactly, other than everything of
course, do you like about the LDS 767 that exceeds the 737 by PMDG?

I honestly have little knowledge with either product and your opinion would be helpful.

Hi Greg,

Both the 737NG and LDS 767 are EXCELLENT products, The LDS 767 has many features which arn't found in the 737NG Probably due to the development 'eras'
(LDS recent, 737NG A few years ago!) Despite the 'new technology' and features LDS is very fairly priced at $39.95, And here is why I prefer it (Not
in any particular order):

* Pause at TOD

* Ground Interaction (With Voices to/from pilot and ground crew [The voices are changeable and have a few preset, Australian, American etc..]),
External Power, External Air, Re-Filling Fire Bottles, Stowing Oxygen masks [You can deploy them through the appropriate system], PUSHBACK, VERY big
highlight, Makes pushback exciting and a breeze, Ground Crew handle it all. Was unfortunate Feelthere 737 PIC didn't include this.

* Sounds

* Frame Rates

* Panel systems (Namely IRS, Plus unless you buy the 737NG 800/900 series you don't get TCAS, Some FMC Functions not working and other things)

* Support

* Flight1 Wrapper (Download BEFORE you buy, offers 30 day money back garentuee)

Update

So I went to the LDS website and looked up the system requirements. They say that you need 128mb video card minimum, whereas the PMDG says 32mb.

Now, I am ashamed to admit that I only have 64mb of video memory on my card. Therefore, I am hesitant to go with the LDS 767, even though you mention how frame rate friendly the LDS is. Hmmm..... decisions, decision.

I have a 64mb Geforce 4, 2.00ghz P4, 640mb Ram, The LDS 767 is noticeably higher in FPS in all views, After turning on some systems with the PMDG
737NG the FPS drop, LDS Remains higher in every view (Especially 2D panel - most important considering I havn't found a complex airliner VC today with
FPS Good enough to fly in it often [Except PT TU-154] )

2d Panel is usually locked at 23

VC around 12-15 (or 18 When Gauge quality low in Display Settings)

Model 15-22 Daytime [Usually around mid-range, And locked in the air], Locked at 23 night time.

Besides you get a 30 Day money back garentuee, no questions asked anyway!

Do you have any other payware add-ons I could compare the FPS to?

Hi dolbinau,

Your system is close to what I have, so I am delighted that other people out there are able to fly even with the challenge of a computer
with somewhat lower capabilities.

OK, LDS 737 is going to be the one, especially with the money back garuntee. Can't go wrong. Except, now I'll have to wait a while to get
the thing, since I'm only at the piston-twin level on FsPassengers.

The only other payware add-on I have is the Eaglesoft Citation X. I don't remember the frame rates off hand, but I usually have mine set at
35 FPS, and I'm pretty sure the Citation X was hovering around 28-30 or so.

Its true. Although the PMDG 737 is older, the frame rates are not as good as with the LDS. My computer isn't the best, and thats why I
primarly like the LDS better. I also kinda like the cockpit better, but like the look of the 737 better than a 767 though.
