Geat stunning screen shot
![]() Just an advice if I can: there is an option to activate the FsP mini display only in 2D cockpit then leaving your VC and spot views free of any add. ![]()

Cool, I will do that.
![]() I wasn't trying to make this one real pretty though...normally I just close the mini-display then take shots. ![]() ![]()

Excellent! I'd love to find them sometime!

Wow really nice! Is that actually suposed to be the Northern Lights, or is it just some type of weird FS colour problem, lol. I have
seen the Northern Lights in real life, in Ontairo, but they are usually green and pink. ![]()

Northen Lights can be violet-blue (nitrogen in "low altitude (100km)), green-yellow (oxygen in "low" altitude (100km)), dark red (oxygen in
high altitude) or red (nitrogen), depending of the type of particules coming from the Sun. Usually, Northen Lights seen on Earth are green but can have a bit of red in it. Pagir

I'll certainly fly in Northen Quebec to check this tonight...

Don't know about the Southern Lights, but as mentioned, they do change color. They were fluxuating from red to blue in the color
spectrum and kind of "dancing around" when I took that shot. I liked the green-blue color that they threw off at that given second, so that's when I snapped the picture. I remember one night at work, I was driving on a rural road and saw the northern lights, so I got out of my car and looked up. I saw them extending from the horizon all of the way to the zenith point and covering about a 120 degree field of view horizontally. They were "dancing" colors of pink, red, blue, green, yellow, orange, and even purple. It was the most impressive display that I had ever seen. That was about a year ago I beleive, and I live in Wisconsin, so we usually can get a decent view here. ![]() ![]()

My best aurora sighting was in the center of Quebec (in Saguenay... pretty cool addons for Fs2004 btw).
I was walking, during the night, in winter, in a forest, with snow shoes (for fun...), with no moon. The aurora was incredible, mainly green. It was so bright it was almost creating shadows (almost... ![]() (almost ![]() Anyway, if you got the chance, take a ride with snow shoes during the night. Awesome! Pagir

I've not managed to see the southern lights in FS. And I have looked for them.

meh, probably been left out. I mean, who cares about the crappy southern hemisphere anyways?!?
[ / sarcasm] certainly not the good people at Microsoft. Microsoft: Flight Simulator - as long as it's in the northern hemisphere, and especially in america: as real as it gets.
