I hope i'm not too crazy in asking if it will be possible to build in some extra features and even dont know if it will be possible... but thought its
at least worth a try asking as it can not hurt to ask as I think IF it is possible this will add a lot more fun to FS Passenger even tho the current
one im testing is already very very good and extremely enjoyable. So in no way am I suggesting its lacking. I will try to explain what I mean in my
suggestion so please be patient if it seems im rambling on
FS Passenegers is in my view not only flying with passengers but also building a Virtual Airline... however having looked at it I thought that it just
might be possible to add in a few additions in future that just might make it even more enjoyable and cater for more different experiences. I am a
software developer (Real Life Aviation Industry/Systems) myself and know sometimes some suggestions is just not feasible to implement depending in
product design, target market etc and therefore will understand if its not and will not be in your plans in the future.
Will it be possible OR is it possible to actually when you start a flight to add a bit more options. I will mention the options and then below that
explain why im asking for those options IF possible.
Type Of Operation
-------------------------
- Scheduled Operation
- Non Scheduled Operation
Type of Flight
-------------------
- International Commercial Flight
- Domestic Commercial Flight
- Training/Test Flight
- Ferry Flight
- Mercy Flight
- Damaged Aircraft (not sure what to call this)
Now for example... On Scheduled flights income will/can be calculated same as its done now. If its a Scheduled Operation the flight type will most
probably be International Commercial or Domestic Commercial. In which case the "points" will/can be trimmed similar to what it is now. Also there
can maybe be an hour/point requirement for moving from Domestic to International Flights as it should be possible to determine if the Departure and
Destination airports are in the same country by looking at the respective Airport ID's.
On Non Scheduled Flights income can be calculated completely different. Flight types will typically be Training/Test, Ferry or Mercy as example.
Training/Test flights is not really relating to real world training/test flights but more a feature for FS Passenger Pilots to test fly their plane
under FS Passenegers loadout etc to get to know the aircraft with its handling/limitations without getting severly penelized for their mistakes with a
little flight report like it has now but WITHOUT penalty points etc... also with zero income of course as well as no point gained either. This can
help people building a career not to mess it up with an aircraft not handling like its supposed to due to incorrect configuring etc.
Ferry Flights... In real life on smaller aircraft sometimes the seats etc are removed and replaced with fuel tanks inside the cabin to give te
aircraft a longer distance. Now i think it will be absolutely great if on a Ferry Flight the cargo can actually be additional fuel... resulting in a
longer range. Here is the catch... In the inflight report the actual fuel onboard can be displayed and in FS9 fuel can be added during the flight
from the main tanks to the Aircrafts actual tanks via an option the pilot can select during flight etc. Income of course for a ferry flight is
usually quite lucrative due to the dangers involved flying long distances etc and alot of sometimes the aircraft is overloaded during takeoff
(overload penaly off within limits). Here the income should be calculated on a different way of course.
Mercy Flights... very similar to what you have now BUT income calculated differently and passengers usually includes doctor, nurse and patient or
patients. Here flying conditions and landing also plays a bigger part. Therefore pilots doing these kinds of flights should be judged very strictly.
Sometimes a hard landing can result in a patient being paralized for instance. Income/points here also differs in the way its calculated etc.
Damaged Aircraft... this is when an incident occured and an aircraft was damaged on a remote location. Sometimes it gets fixed within limits to make
it flyable and a very experienced pilot then flies the aircraft back to a location where repair facilities is available. Of course it only IF it is
determined that the aircraft is still flyable without a serious risk... altho a risk is always involved. This do actually happed in real life.
Income here once again is very high due to dangers involved and pilots shouldnt be judged harshly for flying comfort etc.
In my opiniun these options will enhance FS Passenegers and add alot of diversity towards ones flying experiences on FS BUT its only a suggestion and
I do understand if others dont think the same. I just thought it would be worthwhile to mention and would truly appreciate it if you could give some
consideration to abovementioned items and of course its not necessary to implement it exactly that way.. or even implement everything... its just a
few ideas.
Thanks again for a great product and btw I am going to purchase it as is as I really do feel that it is worth every penny... thansk for your time and
a great product
