Sorry jbower... I posted real world values. I've never really noticed when ATIS becomes audible in FS, and just guessed it was around the
same.

Well, you can plan your descent to the last fix before the STAR/IAF, and check it then... I usually do that, and on long flights you have no
choice anyway, because conditions change. It doesn't make that big a difference on fuel planning, either. Cheers, FPB

My father still running FS98...he fired it up for me a few months ago and I almost died from laughing so hard. But, for him that's what he
prefers and who am I to tell him there is an improved version. FS9 to me is incredible and I am completely enamored by the fantastic add-ons that add to the enjoyment level. From an historical perspective I think is where FS9 really shines! Take a look and see how long you've been playin this sim....as for me my first experience was with 2.0. http://www.microsoft.com/games/flightsim...ory_fs.asp Enjoy Chuck

First of all, don't call me ignorant cause this is a forum and that's why is called forum. The people give their oppinions and wishes. I am not trying to put down microsoft flight simulator. Otherwise I love it. It's been my game or simulator (whatever you want to name it) since its beginning. But I am sorry, I still don't agree with you about difference between fs9 and fs2002. That's my opinion and you don't have to get that crazy at me mate cause it's just an OPINION and a stupid joke. Didn't happen to you before right? Fine, you are lucky. Everytime it happened to me I was swearing at the controller but in the end I was laughing at it cause its funny and that was supposed to be my message. A funny situation created by the stupid ATC from MS fs9. That's it. Nothing else My most sincerelly appologises at you Brad, I didn't mean to put that in this way. Friends?? ![]()

well, that was one hell of a emoticon at the end, i agree, sometimes controller can be aggravating, but it is one hell of a game, and
considering they added that much in a two year period, im lookin foward to fs10

Notice that I didn't say YOU were ignorant, I said YOUR POST was ignorant. lol. I wasn't trying to attack you in
anyway, just strongly disagreing with you... no biggie. No need to apologize either, it is a forum, and you're allowed to freely discuss any topics you want... notice however that if you disagree with me, I will delete your post... lol... jk. We're on the same page, I guess we're ok now... Thanks for the beer ![]()

![]() Thanks for your answer back.!!! By the way, About the little cars I am fancy for. I don't know if you remember in fs95 or fs98 I am not sure. We had those little lights on the road. That's what i meant. Microsoft has taken them off since fs2000 I think. I would like to have that in future fs10. But you are right in one thing. I fly with PSS A320 and you know how looks the IFR panel. I mean, you can't see anything so basically what for all the great scenary?? In a IFR approach you are too busy to have a look at the cars on the road ![]() But as i said in my previous message. We will never be happy cause we are humans beings are we are like that. I have to say that for the £50 flight simulator costs is a real great job!! Have a good flight!!!
Que tengan un buen vuelo! ;-)

I was new to flight sims, flying, and had just gotten my first computer. It had been at least 7 or 8 years since I had used a computer. Last one I used was monochrome. I didnt know what I those charts were for or how to use them. Anyway I got lost on fond old memories.

Well, I remember standing in a shop around 1988 drooling at an Amstrad PC512 (yes, it only came with 512Kb RAM!) running FS 3.0!
It took a while to save up the 2'000$, but it was worth every cent! So I'm telling you, between: ![]() and ![]() ...my dream has basically come true! ![]()

I am going to sound like a REALLY old man now, but I'm only 24. My first Flight Sim experience was JET for the 8088 PC. It ran a massive 7,5 MHz
processor and 256 Kb RAM. Later, my dad got hold of Flight Sim 1.0 and we flew it like forever :P. Loved the combat WW2 simulation in FS 1.0. I've flown almost all the FS that MS has released. With exception of the latest ones. I missed 2000 and 2002, otherwise, I've flown them all. Wonders of having a dad that's sold on Flight Sims ![]() through my first flight....err....crash...anyhow, been flying all the time since then ![]() ![]() "Dont be too optimistic. "JET", hehehe: yes, I remember that one as well.
Was kinda weird flying around with a magenta ground and cyan sky, but the thrills were real, even then! ![]()
