no at departure once PB released the counter is started and will never stop,
you have to take off before FsP think that your at arrival airport. even there it will be the last time you set PB that will be taken in account. Dan

1 block time o.O

I vote for block time as well. We should follow Real World systems here as much as possible.

I like it just the way it is with destination arrival time. Any chance of keeping this? If not then it has to be block time.

I agree with you... it's unfortunate it had some problems

block by block

I like it the way it is too. I like to do a lot of long haul with the LVL-D 767 (right now I am doing KEWR-LIRF) and I even set a bookmark to a world
clock web page so I get my time zones and landing times correct. Like Brad, in all my flights I have only had the issue 1-2 times. But if it has to be redone, I would say block time even though that is going to be really tough to calculate. For example, the real life Continental 040 left the gate at 5:19 instead of 5:25 but did not depart until 7:20. It is scheduled to land at 8:24 instead of 7:45 so it left the gate 6 minutes early, departed two hours late but is set to land 40 minutes late. How am I supposed ot figure that out and enter it into FSP? ![]() Tonight for example, I took off with an eta of 05:00 (estimated departure time of 18:40) but departed 20 miutes late due to AI. By the time I got airborne my eta was 05:20 but right now due to an 88-116 knt tailwind I am showing 04:47. Worked fine for me... Toughest part is figuring out how many movies to show and when to show them so the passengers aren't unhappy... -Paul After crossing the Atlantic, ![]() It should use both. You should have to enter BOTH a block time and a flight time. A delay caused by block time (late gate departure, AI etc...) should affect your airlne reputation. Then, the pilot should have to enter a flight time and should be responsible for making his flight time. If you hit a headwind or get stuck in a hold and miss your flight time the pilot gets a penalty. So you can miss your block time but make your flight time and the pilot is not penalized or you can clear the gate on time but get hold in the air and the pilot gets penalized. This may or may not cause you to miss your block time which would cause an airline penalty as well. Just my .02 but probably too complicated to program... -Paul Post Edited ( 07-28-05 04:50 )
