Actually it's not tottally a myth. I guess not EVERYTHING would get sucked out, it all depends on the size of the door. If you ripped off
a huge chunck out of the side, then yes, things would go flying lol.

A: Yes they did do a myth about the explosive decompression of and aircraft.
B:And actually ILikePlanes, remember that a small hole wouldn't do anything, but blowing out a window/door sucked buster(well as
much of him as would fit anyway)out of the plane. So you actually would get sucked out of the plane. But then again we wouldn't know for
sure unless someone who flies a passenger plane tries it. Hey Brad...

Size matters when it comes to that. Remember some of the more famous explosive decromps (both in Hawaii actually..hmmm) The UAL747 that had it's side
ripped off: Comparitivly, only a few people were sucked out of the plane.
And the Aloha 737 that had it's roof ripped over mid flight. Only the FA was sucked out.

that was when they blew a hole in the side of the plane and i think the myth was busted though they were testing a bullet hole not a door
opening and besides i was just joking

It really comes down to the size of the hole in the aircraft (as Jetsgo originally mentioned). Obviously, a large hole will normally do more
damage than a small hole. Normally! Remember, many emergency situations are known to be "ab-normal".

Brad, have you ever had a case of depresureization? Or a "whole" in the plane
Also, just wondering, you're not qualified to fly a 747 right? I'm thinking not?

No, I'm not qualified to fly a 747. The only commercial jetliners I'm qualified to fly are the 737 series of transport aircraft. I can fly many GA
aircraft (under 737 size obviously).

I can't say I've ever had a case of depressurization. lol... That definetly wouldn't be a good thing! Depressurization incidents are
EXTREMELY rare these days. Especially in countries like the US and Great Britain. Now if you travel to third world countries, the
incidence of ALL failures increases drastically.
