PMDG 747-400F is now available

I got it but so far I can't get it to work with FSPassengers. I'm not sure what is happening but the required aircraft.cfg edit will not stick. I
was so looking forward to using it even created a cargo company with the PMDG 747 freighter as my first fleet purchase. No Joy so far.

Have the same problem as Will.
cfg is not write protected on my pc.
Its only the F i have this problem with.

That's wierd. Could you describe the exact problem, just incase i didn't misunderstand.

I never tried using the 744F with FsP. I made a short flight, but I didn't use FsP for it. I'll have to see if I have that problem too.

I was sure the aircraft.cfg file wasn't write protected but checked anyway... It's not. I was going to try to edit it myself but after 4 attempts at
letting FSPassengers try to make the "required" entries, reloading the aircraft each time and even restarting flightsim from scratch twice I
ran out of time to do anything with it.. Time I had intended on using flying. :-( I've read here on the forum that someone is working on a
payload model for the PMDG 747-400F but they seem to be having some problem getting it to work. I sure hope this gets ironed out
because to be perfectly honest...although I love the plane I would not have purchased it had I known I couldn't get it to work with
FSPassengers. I've been flight simming for over 10 years now and I credit FSPassengers with putting the joy back into flying. It's a whole
new sim when you have passengers to keep happy or cargo to deliver to make a profit.

Guys,

You can still use it with FSP. Go into your FSP folder and disable the payload models and just load the 400F with the PMDG loader.
When your ready to fly with FSP you can load 'Fake" cargo so you make some money on your flight, it just won't load the plane via FSP. It
logs flights the same way.

I'll give that work around a try tomorrow. I've never disabled the payload model, hope it's easy. I just earned enough money for my airline to buy a
400F, I'd hate to have a non-income prodicing aircraft on the roster.

You can disable the payload model in the "Config" file and then the "More Option" file. Scroll down to "DisablePayloadDialogWeightModif"
and change the value from "0" to 1" and "Save" and that's all you need to do. Load the 744F with the PMDG loader and start FS, when you
get to starting up FSP all is the same except you can't use the ZFW value (that comes from the PMDG loader). Make sure though you load
cargo with the FSP loader or you won't make any money on your flight. It won't load the plane but FSP won't reconize any cargo from the
the PMDG loader, so you need to move the sliders with the FSP loader.

I love PMDG planes always top-quality but whether I set my frame rate to 20-30 and my scenery right down my PC still runs very jumpy
with it wich means I can't use my PMDG 737-8/900! Any help is grately appreciated.

I'm also having a great deal of FPS slowdowns with PMDG 737ng/800/900, so i don't fly it so much anymore which is to bad.
Running fine with PMDG 747, 747F, Level-D 767, Eaglesoft Citation X and Flight1 ATR 72-500.

hmmm, should I buy the PMDG 747F, or Frankfurt main for only 23.00$(sale), or the FLight1 ATR?
