It is an experimental plane to check how perform a swept wing at low speed.
It was in 1945

MiG-8 was designed to check stability and controllability of "Canard" aircraft configuration and to study characteristics of highly-swept
wing.

Controllability of MiG-8 aircraft fitted out with pusher propeller could be checked at the low speed when over-wing airflow produced by
propeller was not available. Besides, tests allowed to check the aircraft controllability on the ground and to study peculiarity of take-off and
landing approach (go around) when propeller did not product airflow over control surfaces. Results of this research were used later for jet
fighter design.

The first flights were made by test pilots A.N.Grinchik and A.I.Zhukov in 1945.

Being busy with composites lately Powerke thats a Mil Mi-12 Homer also known as the V-12.This is the biggest helicopter in the world.It
Could Lift 30,000 kg.But there wasn't any major production so the two build Homers are in Museums now

Mi-12, also known as V-2 or Homer is a Russian made Helicopter with only 2 prototypes ever built. Their wingspans are almost the size of Boeing 747.

It established world record by lifting 44,205 Kg (or,88,636 pound) to a height of 2,255 m (7,398 ft). They are available on display in Russian museums.
