From what I was told by the development team (I met them at AirVenture), FSX won't support SLI, crossfire, whatever....likewise, it still
doesn't make use of dual core technology.
The guy that I spoke with had told me that there isn't a system available yet that will run the game to its full potential (which I suspect has
to do with the yet-to-be-released Vista + DX10). He went on to explain about the new technology in video cards where there are no longer
seperate shading techniques, but rather everything is now "lumped" into the "shader" catergory which covers all...he also stated that ATI
does a better job with this than nVIDIA does.
I have also learned over time that Flight Sim has one major requirement that makes it perform better than the 2000 other tweaks,
upgrades, etc that a guy can do: raw CPU horsepower.
So, my question for you having played with it first hand is, what truth is there to any of that?
