Actually, I find the landings harder in FS because you don't have other visual references. What I usually do it open up a secondary window with a spot
plane behind me so that I can see the ground move up in the flare. General flying is a lot easier in Flight Sim.

But that's my opinion and others with more experience or using more sofisticated aircraft in Fs2004 might disagree.
