Yep, here in America everyone expects a flawless flight. After all, with my airline they pay $170 to go non-stop from Oakland to
Philadelphia (and they still complain!!) I've never had a landing applauded (however, I have had customer comments both good and bad
about landings when they're leaving the plane). It's just how we Americans are... we wanna get from A to B with no frills, and no hastle.
Now if you go over to Italy, or Greece and fly on one of their airlines, you'll hear the PAX join in a roar of applauding and yelling when the
plane touches down smoothly. It adds to the whole experience of being over there (for me at least).
Since PAX don't clap for me in real life, I don't want them clapping for me in FSP
