Actually Mark, I think it would be a great addition for a beginner, but leave the penalties on. Reason is it will help with the flight sims
learning curve. You can start off in one of the various paths in FSP like a beginning pilot and purchase a small plane like a Cessna 172
then work your way up as you get better.
As for the software downloads and such, that I cannot answer however I had no problem downloading and installing FSP and entering
my product key on this PC.
Im sure you could download it, purchase it, burn it to CD (which I tend to do with most of my payware addons as back ups, although Im a
bit behind in doing so) and install it on your flight simming computer
