Kind of weird Idea ?

This is very hard to explain

Yesterday I started thinking
Im doing some flying in northernish Canada (Whitehorse, So on) lately.
and I thought:

It doesnt make much sense that you can fly to a small city like Fort Nelson(pop. a few 1000) and if you were to load a 747 some 400 pax
will be waiting at the gate.

You normaly would only have around 40 people per flight. (Not a big population)
In real life you have to pick a smaller aircraft (e.g)Dash- 8 because their isnt enough people to fill a 747 so on.( You would waste fuel)
But it could only work for smaller airports.

The more I think about it the less sense it makes.

It would be like loading a 747 at Lukla. Their would never be 400ish passengers waiting at the gate. So to save fuel you would pick a
smaller plane Like a Twotter.

I guess what I am saying is, limit the amout of people at an airport. Big airports have tonnes of people.
Smal airports have 30-40 people. so you are forced to use a smaller plane( like connecting flights)

Anyone understand or am I going nuts?

I pretty sure It would be to hard to add to FSP but I was just something that popped into my mind
