Rushlink, yes, I know what you are saying. Here in the Boston area rent is unbelievable, and I won't mention how much a house goes for.
I guess it's because, for me, FSP has really changed FS9 from a game into a passion for me. In the last few months, I have gone from
someone who couldn't tell the difference between a c172 and a 747, to someone who flys FS9 as realistically as I can (still a lot to learn),
and to the extent possible as FS9 can provide. I.E. setting up flight plans, following stars and DP, estimating amounts of fuel, time,
using checklists when starting planes from cold and dark, etc.
And I credit FSP with breathing new life into FS9 just when I was becoming bored with FS9. Once I tried the demo of FSP and had to try
to land properly, since FSP would "grade" me, Fs9 stopped being a game, and instead became a fun, challenging Simulation. As well as
a fun learning expernece.
But I realize what you are saying.
Like i some times like to say..."If only I had been born a Gates :-)
