No, Dave, this doesn't belong in FSX General forum for a good reason. It's not FSX specific. It's a FsP specific question that relates to Active Sky.
It appears you should have started AS before FSX in order to calm the winds issue. Otherwise, you are subject to the default winds that FSX injects...which are horrendous for ANY flight. Yes, you rolled the dice with default winds and got them.
