Here's a recap and a further point:
1. Create the plan in FS Nav
2. Save it (optional)
3. Export it to FS9 and select the gate or parking you wish to start at
4. Switch to FS9and load it
5. By default FS9 assumes the flight plan is IFR. Most of mine are VFR however. I resave the flight in FS9 after changing the selection to VFR.
6. When you load the flight plan a second time, agree when it asks whether you would like to move to another position. This will put you at the Gate
rather than the active.
