I wouldn't be surprise if you had a Temp rise failure (yes, it's FSP). The temp rose high enough to cause the probes to register it as a fire and that triggered the emergency panel to display a fire in the engine. But since the engine was still working, FSP hadn't yet flagged this as an engine failure. Which means that even though you did the right thing, FSP thinks that you jumped the gun in declaring an emergency.
