FSUIPC is a third party interface which makes many FS functions available to addon programmers. Simply speaking.
For most addons you won't need the registered version of FSUIPC for the addon to work, as most authors have an agreement with Pete Dawson, the maker of
FSUIPC. They get a FSUIPC key specifically for their addon which they include in the readme or wherever, which you will then have to put into your
fsuipc.ini (I think) to get the addon to work with an unregistered FSUIPC version.
Registering FSUIPC does three things:
1. your contribution supports the key component in the whole FS addon community and secures its future.
2. you get lots of extra options in the FSUIPC menu in FS, like weather optimisation options, much enhanced controller configuration etc. etc.
3. you don't need to bother with registering individual addons to FSUIPC anymore.
If you haven't guessed already, I recommend the registration.
