Turbulence on and off every flight

Hi,

I recently installed FSPassenger 2015. I use it with Active Sky Next. However, every takeoff and landing, I would get my passengers would sense turbulence and calm
down, only to be jolted by turbulence a few seconds later. So I basically hear them start screaming and stop repeatedly every few seconds, gets a bit annoying. The
turbulence is not even sustained, just on and off. Any ideas how to fix or something needs changing?

Please in the first instance post a copy of one of your end-of-flight reports.

I would suspect that it's something that Active Sky Next is causing; there are known issues with some add-on weather generators, as well as the built
in FSX generator that can cause issues.

Dragon, this is not unusual with ASN while entering a fairly big cloud bank. There is usually some light to moderate turbulence in a building cloud
in real life, so I would expect this with ASN as well. Intermittent or continuous turbulence can happen throughout the cloud travel. The severity of
it can certainly be muted in ASN....if you prefer to do so. Frankly, I don't see a big deal about the paxs moaning, groaning or screaming during this
event. In real life some paxs do all 3

Thanks for the reply guys. I can post a report next time i do a flight, but it just says passengers are anxious because of extreme weather, nothing too out of ordinary.

I am ok with turbulence being on and passengers screaming because of it. But it just just the way that turbulence is felt. It comes on, passengers scream, 3 seconds later it
goes off. 3 seconds later it comes on again and repeat many times. So I will be hearing the same 'scream line' from the passengers multiple times per minute, not very
realistic and can be a bit annoying when they repeat the same line over and over again.

@DragonEmperor, yes that can be very frustrating indeed.
BTW you often have the same problem with Jeppeson, real weather can place you in interesting problems wich you have to solve!
The best thing you can do when passengers keep screaming is increase your speed, Im talking about 747 400 as always, increase speed to max, offer them
some drinks and better more drinks and even more drinks and then when they are quite happy and don't complain anymore, put on your parachute, push the
stick forwards, autopilot at max speed, f=0 jump out in time and enjoy the silence, no more compalining about turbulance

If my memory serves, there is an option you can set in FSP that will turn the screams off within the FSP set options menu.

I am having the same issues even with no weather add on and good weather set in FSX.  Problem is that is causes penalties on my scoring so I end up getting demoted back to smaller planes when flying.  My flight attendant will also cancel in flight service every time she starts saying she can't serve in this turbulance even when there is no jump in the plane showing that turbulance is active.  Is there a solution to this issue.

With that being said, are you certain you have any semblance of turbulence turned off within FSX? Also, do you have any weather addon like Active Sky 2016? Please go back through your settings to ensure turbulence effect is turned off.

With that being said, are you certain you have any semblance of turbulence turned off within FSX? Also, do you have any weather addon like Active Sky 2016? Please go back through your settings to ensure turbulence effect is turned off.

I have all turbulence settings off in both FSX and and ActiveSKy 2016, and still get turbulence responses from both the crew and passengers.

If you have every instance of turbulence OFF in FSX and AS2016 (updrafts/down drafts,etc) you shouldn't be having this problem. Does the aircraft bounce around anyway?

Its the Majestic Bombadier Q400.  I don't notice any jumping, but who knows....

I have the Q400 as well, not the latest version though, but I have not had the penalties you described....at least in a long while. I'm still thinking that some where in your settings something is not correct. I had to completely shut down the in cloud turbulence when close to thunderstorms (AS2016) because it would be far too violent for FsP's sake. Definitely got penalties for that one particular setting....for any aircraft.

yes finally somebody with same problems, when i use real world weather i get blown over speed very often and the report says that i been fined and penalty points for overspeed, think the marking system is all wrong, now i carnt fly in real weather nomore annoying

if you use FSUIPC below the tab weather you can select "Smooth wind changes near aircraft" this helped for me with real weather Tools.
