[solved] no report after crash.

maybe it is supposed to be this way but when i crash a plane under fspassenger the sim resets and i get no final
report it dosn't even
save anything to the company that i am using. if i land with no problems i can get a final report when i end the
flight .i cant seem to find
this problem in the forum i cant believe that i am the only one that is having this issue

it's on "aircraft" menu of Fs "difficulty"
anyway I suspect another things and I'll do a new release withtin few day
that *may* resolve such problem. (I'm not 100% sure anyway)

here is more information i hope it helps . just in case the problem was on my end i reinstalled everything and what i found was that with
fs set to not detect crashes i can hit the ground all i want. but when i start an fsp flight i can drive through buildings but aircraft and
ground collisions will reset the sim and not give me a report or record the flight at all . i also have fs commander, easy landmark and
ultimate trafic installed i hope this info will help .

This happened to me last night. I was running one of the scenarios where I had to fly 50 consecutive flights without a crash. Well, lo and
behold on the 5th flight I was flying the PMDG -800 and while on final approach into Puerto Vallarta I blew it. Didn't flare fast enough and
the nose gear collapsed. I'm sitting there looking at this plane in disbelief for a few moments and very angry with myself for crashing
while knowing that I just failed the scenario.

Anyhow, I was anxious to find out what the report would say but FS reset itself and I was suddenly flying again over the ocean. FSP didn't
notice...so it was disappointing to say the least.

I think from what I'm hearing around the forum is that if you crash you must not dilly-dally...you have to press Alt immediately and End
Flight before FS gets the chance to reset.

Sure hope there can be a fix for this....it would play on my conscience to have to police myself.

Just rechecked my settings in FS9 and I have :

Detect crashes and damage set

I also have Aircraft stress causes damage, and allow collisions with other a/c options checked.

I've had them this way from Day 1.

It seems to me that if these options were not set my nose gear wouldn't have broken and therefore no crash would have occurred which
is just as bad because I deserve to be penalized.


The real issue I suppose is getting FS9 to stop resetting the flight and leave my plane on the runway so I have a chance to end the flight.

usually FsP must detect the crash and bring you automatically the end-of flight report....

this might be a bug but it's strange that it happen only on some machine ??

Any chance that you have another add-on that modify the usuall behaviour ?

Now that you mention it....wouldn't the 1st officer make a comment of some sort if FsP detected a crash? ....I remember the other day I
flew a PMDG Beechcraft and landed a bit hard....he said "Wow, what a landing, let's hope the struts aren't bent" or something like that. I
looked at him sideways and told him to mind his P's & Q's. LOL

But on the above flight absolutely nothing was said....I just got the green line with the red words CRASH and moments later it was reset.

I don't think any of my addons would cause this as they are mostly payware aircraft but I suppose anything is possible.

I use Flight1 ATR and Flight Environment, Eaglesoft Cessna Citation X, PMDG 737, Level D 767. That's about it.

Time to experiment!!! LOL

Have you tried with a "good old default FS2004" plane?

Will try that next....just purposely crashed two PMDG flights. The first one I did nothing and watched as FS reset the flight and no report
was made.

The second time I crashed and then immediately went into the FsP menu....there was no option for End Flight...it was already back to
Start Flight-Load Aircraft

Will try some other planes next...if it turns out this is a PMDG/FsP incompatibility that would be a major bummer.

Well, tried a "vanilla" Cessna 172 and here's what I found.

First time I rolled sharply and smacked into the ground. I let FS do it's thing and sure enough it reset the flight and FsP didn't log it.

Second time I did the exact same thing...waited a moment and then hit Alt.....went back to the menu and FsP had already reverted back to
Start Flight-Load Aircraft.

Did it a third time and once the crash occurred I immediately (within 2 seconds) hit alt and was then at least given an option to end
flight....where to my dismay I learned that I had perished.

So, now we know it's not the aircraft...but the sad thing is if something bad should happen I would have to hit the alt key IMMEDIATELY
after the incident or the flight is lost.

Not that I want to crash my aircraft but the whole purpose of this is to give you a sense of responsibility so that you try your hardest to
make it a nice flight....or at the very least keep you and your passengers alive. It spoils the simulation if I have to hit Alt immediately after
an incident.

If you have any other suggestions or something you want me to try I'll be more than happy to do so.

this look definitively like a bug... FSP is supposed to detect the crash and send you the
end-report before reseting the flight...

I *expect* to have an update soon that *may* solve this...

stay tuned,I'll post a "beta version" of the DLL in the support forum
so you will be able to test it.
